He may have been a late stand in but Chris Ward soon made his presence felt with the RJN Nissan 370Z and came away as a triple winner, even if one was by default.

There was a casualty on the green flag lap of Saturday’s race, when returning former champion Martin Wallbank headed pitwards with his Vauxhall Astra VXR in limp mode.

Castle Combe July 17th / 18th

Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup, Castle Combe, July 17/18th

At last Ryan Bensley secured his maiden Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup victory in the first race of the weekend at Castle Combe. Having secured pole in his Dunlop backed Vauxhall Astra VXR, it was a double celebration for the former Stock Hatch Champion as it was also his 26th birthday.

From thereon it was downhill for the rest of the weekend, with Adrian Churchill’s Astra unbeatable as he edges ever closer to the title.

Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup, Pembrey June 26/27th

RACE ONE

Championship leader Adrian Churchill kept his title chase on track after his second triple win of the season at Pembrey’s 20th Anniversary meeting. But his Courtenay Sport Vauxhall Astra VXR had taken second at the flag in race three, until Craig Currie was penalised after contact.

Rockingham 10th / 11th April

DUNLOP SPORT MAXX CUP – ROCKINGHAM - 10th / 11th APRIL

Experience and a well sorted car saw Adrian Churchill collect a winning hattrick, in the opening rounds of this years Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup at Rockingham.

Churchill’s Vauxhall Astra VXR topped the qualifiers by 1.855secs, with French novice and GT Academy winner Jordan Tresson next best, in one of the RJN Motorsport Nissan 370Z’s.

Oulton Park 29th / 31st May

Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup, Oulton Park, May 29/31st

Championship leader Adrian Churchill continued to add to his victory tally at Oulton, with one win in his Courtney Motorsport Vauxhall Astra VXR, but as at Snetterton it was three different winners on the top step, of the podium, with Stuart Clarke and Craig Currie sharing the spoils.
