MARSHAL Training with the BARC

Marshal Training Days organised by the BARC are held annually as follows :-

Croft Circuit near Darlington

A single day which will contain sessions for all types of Marshals including Trainees - Sunday 03rd February 2008.

Mallory Park Circuit near Leicester

A single day which will contain sessions for all types of Marshals including Trainees - Sunday 27th January 2008.

Pembrey Circuit near Llanelli

A single day which will contain sessions for all types of Marshals including Trainees - Saturday 16th February 2008.

Thruxton Circuit near Andover - two successive days, Saturday 01st March and Sunday 02nd March 2008.

The Saturday Training Day is designed to be of assistance to new (trainee) marshals, and existing course and fire marshals.

The Sunday Training Day is designed to help the development of flag marshals, observers, specialist marshals and senior officials.

Both days will include sessions about new rules and procedures which may be introduced during the forthcoming season.

All existing marshals and officials on the BARC database will receive invitations to these training days early in each year. Any new marshal who wishes to attend any of these days should contact Rebecca Harvey at Thruxton on 01264 882210 or send a eMail to rharvey@barc.net

At all BARC Marshal Training Days, Marshals are offered the chance to update their skills, particularly with firefighting techniques, basic first-aid, incident management and team work.
