BARC South Eastern Centre and its Sponsors :

The Committee of the South Eastern Centre of the BARC are very grateful to the following organisations and persons for their continued help and support in maintaining the activities of this Centre:

General Information :

This Centre of the British Automobile Racing Club has existed since the end of the Second World War,
and has organised many different types of competitive motor sport.

Over the years, we have successfully run :-

• Driving Tests
• Road Rallies
• Stage Rallies
• Autocross events
• Sprints
• Motor Races at several different Circuits

Nowadays, this Centre runs Race Meetings at the Lydden and Silverstone Stowe Circuits.
We also run Sprints at Lydden, Silverstone Stowe and Goodwood Circuit.

In recent years, our Silverstone Race Meetings have included races for new drivers who
have completed Introductory Single-Seater Motor Racing Courses at Silverstone, as well as
for those drivers competing in both our Saloon Car Championship and Single Seater Series.

In the early years, the Chairmanship of the Centre changed annually, but during 2004
Andrew Ratcliffe took over from John White who had chaired the Centre for several years.
Andrew now seeks to continue development across the sporting disciplines that this Centre
has been historically involved with.

There is also a Social side to the Centre, with a Christmas Social and our annual Dinner/Dance
"The Real Night Out!"
