On Race-Days, a radio commentary is provided by "Radio Thruxton"; available on the 1602 Medium Wave band.

Camping at Thruxton

During the 2010 Season, Camping Facilities will be provided as follows :-

The British Touring Car Meeting (April) and the British Superbike Meeting (April) - A dedicated site providing access to fresh water, permanent toilets, and the provision of shower blocks within the camp site area.

For these two meetings, a camping charge for the Friday night and the Saturday night will be levied, amounting to £4.00 per person per night (children aged 15 or under are free of charge), payable on arrival to the camp site security officers.

Pitches are available on a "first come first served" basis.

For both of these meetings, the campsite will open at 1600 hours on the Thursday preceding the race meeting, and close at 1600 hours on the Monday after the race meeting. Camping charges are only levied for Friday night and Saturday night.

Campers who have not previously purchased appropriate race meeting tickets will have to purchase them upon entry to the camp site, at "on-the-day" price levels.

All campers will be issued with an arm band which will be checked by the camp site security staff upon each re-entry to the camp site.

For all other 2010 Race Meetings - (F3 and Trucks, BARC Club Championship Days, MSVR Race Day, Great and British Car Racing and the North Gloucester Road Racing Motorcycle Day)

Use of the camp site for these race meetings will be free of charge.

The campsite will open at 1600 hours on the Thursday preceding the race meeting, and close at 1600 hours on the Monday after the race meeting.

Access will be provided to fresh water and permanent toilets.

Shower facilities will be provided in the paddock area located in the centre of the circuit, access to which will require campers to hold Paddock Transfer tickets on Sunday 08th August (F3 / Truck weekend) and Sunday August 29th (Great and British Weekend).

PLEASE NOTE : Animals are NOT admitted to the circuit, paddocks, car parks or camp site (Except Guide / Helper dogs for blind or disabled visitors).
