The British Automobile Racing Club is at home in the north and south this weekend as we kick start July. At Thruxton it’s Thruxton Retro – as we head back in time to the halcyon days of the eighties, while in our Yorkshire branch we host the British Hillclimb Championship at Harewood.
When is the next BARC weekend?
The next events will take place this weekend, 4-5 July.
Where are the events being held?
Thruxton
Address: Thruxton Circuit Andover, Hampshire SP11 8PN
Harewood
Address: Harewood Avenue, Harewood, Leeds, LS17 9LA
What’s racing?
We go retro on and off the track for the Thruxton Retro meeting. The Classic Touring Car Racing Club swell the ranks with Pre ’66, Pre ‘83, Pre’93, Pre’03, BOSS, Classic Thunder and Historic Thunder providing iconic touring car action from across the decades, while the Heroes of FF1600 are seen for the first time on a BARC event this season. The MG Owners Club will have cars from the sixties through to the other side of the Millennium with packed grids once again.
While up north in Yorkshire, the British Hillclimb Championship will fire into action with two top-12 run-offs joined by the BHC Cup and the second event for the Tin Top Challenge.

At home
BARC LIVE TV has you covered for the action at Thruxton on Saturday and Sunday – bringing you all the races live on our YouTube Channel. Head to youtube.com/@britishautomobileracingclub/streams to save those links and keep them handy for the weekend.
Sadly at the time of writing there will be no live stream coverage from Harewood.
What time is everything happening on track?
Thruxton will be packed with races galore. We start on track at 09:00 with practice, which then moves into qualifying at 09:40 on Saturday before the first race is signalled to start at 13:00. Sunday – we have two qualifying sessions to squeeze in, with the first at 10:15 and 11:05 but between and after them we are foot to the floor with races until early evening.
At Harewood, it’s a more fluid affair with Practice runs expected to start at 09:00 on both days with timed runs starting on Sunday afternoon – where we can expect to see the run-offs completed.
