TOCA – organiser of the British Touring Car Championship – has confirmed that it has extended its broadcast agreement with ITV for a further three years, ensuring that the series will remain on free-to-air television until at least the end of the 2029 season.

The new contract between the parties will begin at the start of the 2027 campaign and will see ITV4 remain as the home of the BTCC, with seven hours of live coverage being aired each race day.

On-demand streaming service ITVX will also broadcast every race day online, while Saturday’s qualifying session will continue to be streamed via the ITV YouTube channel.

The BTCC’s popular support series will also continue to receive the same live coverage and their own dedicated highlights programming across the ITV network.

In summary, this new agreement provides the same level of free-to-air ‘all day live’ coverage, including all highlights and on-demand programmes, on the same channels as present, including

10 x 7hr live broadcasts per channel
10 x 90min BTCC highlights programmes
34 x 60min support race highlights
UK and global live streaming of BTCC qualifying via YouTube
Global live-streaming of the full race-day on YouTube (outside of the UK/North America)

Specifically:

All main race day broadcasts will be shown live on ITV4 and ITVX
Saturday qualifying streamed live on the ITV YouTube channel
BTCC highlights will be shown on ITV4, ITVX and (when schedules allow) ITV1
Support Race highlights will be shown on ITV4
Full BTCC race day coverage will be available, on demand, on ITVX and ITV Sport YouTube
