The British Automobile Racing Club brought the noise to Donington Park this past weekend (August 8-9) as some of the biggest championships in country took centre stage for the 2026 edition of Convoy in the Park.

Renowned for being one of the marquee events on the racing calendar each year, a blockbuster 22-race schedule topped the billing while more than 1000 show trucks, live music, wrestling and stunt shows guaranteed their being fun for all the family.

Headlining the action around the 1.64-mile National layout were four action-packed contests from the British Truck Racing Championship, where twists and turns played out in both Division 1 and Division 2.

Spoils were shared in Division 1 as Stuart Oliver, Steven Powell, Michael Oliver and Craig Reid tallied a win apiece while over in Division 2, Callum Eason extended his relentless winning streak to nine races as he moved to the summit of the standings.

The destiny of the 2026 Pickup Truck Racing Championship title will go down to the wire at Brands Hatch in a couple of months after Aaron Thompson got the better of Allen Cooper to win twice.

Thompson looks set to head to the Kent circuit in the box seat after taking his tally to 11 wins for the season. He was made to work for it though, especially in race two, as his main title rival Cooper pushed him all the way in what was an instant classic.

Last year’s TCR UK Championship title winner Adam Shepherd made an immediate impact upon his return to the series as he renewed his rivalry with Callum Newsham before going on to win race one.

The Vannin Motorsport driver made his presence known around the East Midlands circuit as he dicd with title contenders Newsham and Max Hart. While that played out throughout the day, Harry Bloor went on to star as he clinched back-to-back wins in races two and three.

Nick Hull and Richard Avery were the big winners when it came to the Britcar Endurance Championship on Saturday, as they reigned supreme to triumph in the series’ latest thrilling 90-minute bout.

The Porsche 992.1 Cup duo were wheel-perfect during what was a truncated contest to triumph by almost 20 seconds ahead of Flat Six Motorsport’s Sam Howarth and CWS Motorsport’s Colin White.

Three different drivers stood on the top step of the podium when it came to the Civic Cup, which boasted a bumper grid of almost 30 cars.

Matt Wilkins was the first to strike as he got the better of Sean McGovern to win race one before Dave Marshall then trounced the opposition in race two. McGovern got his moment in the sun in the weekend’s finale as he cruised to victory ahead of Wilkins.

The MINI CHALLENGE Clubsport with Airtec Motorsport brought the curtain down on its season in style with three action-packed races that were all won by the benchmark driver of the 2026 campaign, Oli Wilmott.

Elsewhere, the CNC Heads Sports & Saloon Car Championship showcased plenty of variety with its mammoth grid that surpassed 30 cars. Richard Wright guided his BMW M4 Solution F to victory in race one before Chris Roberts triumphed in a red-flag affected second race.

Rounding out what was a busy weekend under the flight path of East Midlands airport was the Audi Cup and the OT Coupe Cup with Toyo Tires. Carl Swift and Andrew Rogerson scored a win apiece in the Audi Cup while the team of Zaki and Chittell snared Coupe Cup honours.
