Britcar Endurance returns to Silverstone for latest chapter of enthralling season

The Britcar Endurance Championship returns to the Home of British Motor Racing this weekend (July 3/4) for a trio of blockbuster contests around the famous Silverstone Grand Prix circuit.

Having kicked off their 2021 season at the venue back in late April, the category has since raced at Snetterton and Oulton Park, delivering an abundance of edge-of-the-seat entertainment along the way.

Saturday afternoon will see the Endurance Championship take centre stage for a sensational two-hour spectacle, the first for several years. With the Praga contingent now having settled into a rhythm – especially in race trim – the battle for supremacy this weekend looks to be wide open.

Wheel-to-wheel duels are set to play out across all classes and with a change in strategy needed due to race time being doubled, the competition is set to be fraught.

Notable names to look out for over the course of the day include Praga leaders Richard Morris and Chris Wesemael, McLaren duo Dave Scaramanga and Will Powell, Ferrari pairing Bonamy Grimes and Johnny Mowlem, and Nissan GT3 team of Richard Wheeler and Danny Harrison – amongst many more others.

After a short break, the Trophy Championship blasts back into life with two one-hour encounters headlining Sunday. A mammoth 45-car entry list has been confirmed and with a number of drivers all keen to make their mark, it will be a case of blink and you’ll miss the action.

Alongside Britcar, Silverstone will also play host to races from a variety of BRSCC Caterham categories, as well as the Toyo Tires Racing Saloons.
