Making a welcome return to the track in 2026, the MaximumGroup.net VAG Trophy is a series for Volkswagen Audi Group (VAG) cars, featuring popular models such as the Audi RS3, Audi TT, Volkswagen Golf, Volkswagen Scirocco and SEAT Supercopa.

Organised and promoted by Maximum Motorsport – the team behind the hugely successful TCR UK Championship and Milltek Civic Cup – the series was a smash-hit some years ago and having been out of action for a while, the hope is that it will be back with a bang under the stewardship of the British Automobile Racing Club.

All models from the Volkswagen Audi Group that use a two-litre turbocharged engine are eligible, with their performance being balanced using a power-to-weight ratio formula.

A strict set of regulations will provide an affordable platform for teams and drivers to enjoy fair and close racing on a small budget; with the series providing a new opportunity within club-level racing, where drivers and teams can showcase their talents in front of large crowds.
