Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship

A popular draw since 2008, the Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship is one of the UK’s premier categories to offer teenage racers a genuine route into top-level motorsport.

Open to drivers aged between 14 to 17 years of age, the championship provides a smooth transition from karting in the shape of the Yorkshire manufacturer’s G40 race car whilst also offering the experience of a lifetime in front of bumper trackside audiences on the support package of the British GT Championship

Producing close, exhilarating races across eight events, the Ginetta Junior contingent are one of the must-see attractions throughout the year and is a proven tool in the developmental process for all young racers that have competed.

Down the years the series has played its part in forging the careers of the some of the biggest future stars around the world including McLaren Formula 1 ace Lando Norris, as well as many more.

In addition to the main championship, Ginetta also run a Winter Series in November of each year and a Scholarship competition, which is aimed towards unearthing the next generation of British talent on the track.
