For the first time in 18 years, the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship will tackle a new layout this weekend as it returns to Silverstone for the penultimate event of the 2020 season – this time competing on the International configuration of the Northamptonshire venue.
Comprising of a layout which encompasses the south section of the circuit, the championship will also use the Wing Complex – a first for the BTCC and its rich history.
With a maximum of 134 points remaining across this weekend and the season finale, the pressure will be on those in contention to ensure they stay in the fight and put their best foot forward.
Whilst the action is always frenetic in the BTCC at this time of year, the same can be said for the TOCA support package; which will also reach a critical point of the season here at Silverstone.
The Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship, Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 Supercup, Porsche Carrera Cup GB, MINI Challenge Cooper & Cooper S Championship and F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost will all take a step closer to their crescendos.
