Silverstone makes the first of two appearances on the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship calendar in 2020 this weekend, with the National layout of the Northamptonshire venue playing host to the third event of the season.
Traditionally welcoming Britain’s premier race series towards the end of the year, the annual meeting around the 1.64-mile circuit moves forward to make way for the debut of the International layout later in the campaign.
Rounds 7, 8 & 9 of the BTCC will likely be the headline act of the weekend whilst the Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship, Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge, MINI Challenge JCW Championship and F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost.
Joining the fray for the first of two appearances during the season on the TOCA package also is the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB, a new-for-2020 series based around the Porsche Cayman.
