The Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship speeds back into action following its six-week summer break with Rounds 16. 17 & 18 coming from Snetterton.
Marking the start of the second of the 2020 season, the road to the season finale is set to further intensify with all contenders keen to gain the upper hand on their rivals over the remaining five events.
A majority of teams had the opportunity to get their eye in around the Norfolk venue’s 2.99 mile layout just a couple of weeks ago during the annual tyre test; and everyone will be keen to use that to their advantage.
The BTCC will see a new qualifying format trialled for the weekend. Replacing the usual 30-minute session, drivers will have a marginally reduced window of 25 minutes to record their lap times. The fastest ten competitors will then progress to a ten-minute pole position session to determine the top ten places on the grid.
Alongside the BTCC will be the usual TOCA support package action from the Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship, Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 Supercup, Porsche Carrera Cup GB, MINI Challenge JCW Championship and F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost.
