The Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship returns to the fastest circuit in the country, Thruxton, this weekend for the eighth event of the season – and a pivotal stop on the calendar.

Staging two BTCC events in the same season for the first time since 2007, the Hampshire venue is primed for another blockbuster weekend of tin top thrills with a bumper crowd expected to turn out in force.

Coming off the back of three breathless encounters in May, Britain’s premier race series is primed to once again tackle the high-speed demands of Thruxton; with it all to play for the championship fight too.

Both the Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship and the F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost will compete once again on the TOCA package and they will be joined by the Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 Supercup, Renault UK Clio Cup and the Porsche Carrera Cup GB – all of whom didn’t attend the May meeting.
