Donington Park kicks off a brand-new era for the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship this weekend as the 2022 season blasts into life.

Britain’s premier motorsport series will see more power, better performance and closer racing this year as hybrid technology is fully introduced – and the stage is set for what should be an unforgettable battle for the ultimate prize.

With anticipation having built over recent weeks, the battle for supremacy is set to be fierce as drivers and teams bid to kick off their campaigns on the front foot at Donington Park, with reigning champion Ashley Sutton being the one to beat.

Alongside the BTCC as always will be the usual mix of championships that make up the TOCA support package; all of which will also begin their campaigns at the Leicestershire track.

New cars will take centre stage for both the Porsche Carrera Cup GB and F4 British Championship certified by FIA whilst the customary door-to-door entertainment from the Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship, Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge and MINI CHALLENGE JCW will have fans on the edge of their seats.
