The PM Junior Championship prototype car made its public debut this past weekend (July 25-26) with Power Maxed Racing revealing the all-new machine at Thruxton.

Marking the latest significant milestone in the build up to the inaugural season – which begins in 2027 on the British Touring Car Championship bill – prospective teams, drivers, families and fans were able to get a first glimpse of Britain’s newest junior racing series.

Designed for drivers aged 14-17, the PM Junior Championship has been created to provide a clear, professional and cost-controlled pathway into circuit racing.

Adorned in a special launch livery, the prototype car that was on display is the not the finished article, with several enhancements and refinements set to follow over the coming weeks.

So far, Power Maxed Racing has already confirmed partnerships with M-Sport, Cosworth and Quaife – with more expected to be announced in due course.

Looking ahead, preparations are also underway for the prototype to make its first public on-track demonstration during a BTCC event later this season, giving fans the opportunity to see and hear the car in action ahead of the championship’s debut in 2027.
